While we do review credit reports, credit score alone is not a primary factor in our decision - many of our residents have less-than-perfect credit, and we're happy to work with applications in building a path toward stable housing.
Our screening process considers the full picture of an applicant's history. Recent evictions, a documented history of substance abuse issues, or other significant red flags may affect an application, but none of these factors alone result in an automatic denial. We review each application individually and look for context, stability, and the ability to meet lease obligations going forward. The one exception is for applicants listed on a registry for offenses involving harm to others, which will result in denial of application.
We believe everyone deserves a fair opportunity to find a place to call home.
